Kelsie Lee Barnier Obituary - 2024 (2024)

Kelsie Barnier, age 29, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was born on January 27, 1994 from the union of Rachelle Carter and James Barnier.

Kelsie grew up in Sylvania, Ohio and attended Northview High School, but went on to graduate from Penta Career Center. She graduated with her high school diploma in tandem with a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) degree. Kelsie always had a passion for helping those in need, and with this degree she would go-on to fulfill this passion.

When Kelsie entered motherhood, it was evident that being a mother was her true calling. Kelsie lived and breathed for her children and never wavered in supporting them through everything. She prided herself on creating memories with her children and ensuring that holidays were always celebrated together. Because of her dedication to creating memories, Kelsie’s three children will be able to have happy, loving, and lasting memories to carry.

Kelsie was a true shining light in this world. When anyone was lucky enough to be near Kelsie, there was never anything less than a smile and a good time. She will be remembered for her riddles and hilarious jokes, contagious laughter, and resilience towards life's hurdles.

Kelsie’s family is left with a void in their heart that will never be filled, but because of her zeal for creating memories and being a shining light, they are able to remember her for all that she was and all the wild adventures they had together.

Kelsie is survived by her loving mother, Rachelle Carter, her dad, Mike Polansky Sr., her beloved children, Jayden, Caleb, and Olivia, her sisters, Courtney Barnier and Katelynn Barnier, Her great aunt Nancy, her great uncle Garry, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Kelsie was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Sharon (gmom) Smith, and her maternal great grandmother, Anna Fiorelli

Visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home, Holland Chapel, on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.. A memorial service at the funeral home will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, Kelsie's mother has started a memorial fund for Kelsie's children. Donations can be sent to any fifth third bank, addressed to Kelsie Barnier
